Privacy policy: Renly Finance for Gmail
The Renly Finance for Gmail browser extension adds a button under an email attachment in Gmail, which sends the attachment to the user's Renly Finance. The operator is Good Friends s. r. o., the operator of the Renly service. Contact: support@renly.sk.
Effective from 6 November 2026.
01What data the extension processes
The extension sends data to Renly only when the user clicks the button next to a specific attachment, and only:
- the file of that attachment and its name,
- the name and email address of the message sender, so the document can be matched to a supplier.
The extension does not read or send the subject, message text, other attachments, the message list or contacts. It does not track which emails the user opens. It uses no analytics, advertising or third-party services.
To show the correct button state when a message has an attachment, it asks Renly whether the user is signed in, what permissions they have and which company the document will go to. This request contains no data from the email.
If the extension hits a technical fault on the email page, it sends Renly only the fault code, its version and the mail provider's label. No page content.
02How the extension signs in
The password is entered on the Renly page in a separate window and never reaches the extension. The extension keeps a short-lived access token (valid for one hour) and a refresh token in the browser. Both are available only to the extension, not to web pages. The extension has no access to the Gmail API or the Google account and does not request it.
03What the data is used for
Solely to create a received document in the Finance module of the user's company. The data is not sold, is not shared with third parties for their purposes, and is not used for advertising, creditworthiness assessment or training artificial intelligence models.
The use of data obtained by the extension complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
04Where the data is kept and for how long
The document is stored in Renly with the user's company like any document added another way, and the Renly privacy policy applies to it. A document rejected during review is deleted together with its file. The company keeps approved tax documents as required by law.
Only the tokens and the choice of company stay in the browser. They are deleted by signing out or uninstalling the extension.
05How to revoke access
- In the extension with the Sign out button.
- In Renly in your profile under Connected apps.
- By uninstalling the extension in Chrome.
